Hi! I’m Baby Girl!

A sweet and gentle giant seeking her forever home! Baby is a 7-year-old German Shepherd-Husky mix who weighs 75 lbs of love. She was rescued from an animal hoarding situation in September 2024, where she was caring for her 5 puppies. While her pups have all found their homes, Baby is still looking for hers.

Baby is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, and her foster family has generously agreed to continue helping with treatment costs for her new adopters. As she recovers, she’ll need a quiet, comfortable space to rest and heal, with limited exercise and plenty of naps. After her treatment is complete, Baby would thrive in a home with plenty of land or acreage, where she can roam and explore.

She’s great with other dogs and cats and enjoys playing, although her activity needs to be limited right now due to treatments. Baby loves the outdoors, but she’s equally intersted and content indoors, so her new family would need to offer her the privilege of both. She’s housebroken, familiar with doggy doors, and has been spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, recently dewormed, and has had a recent dose of flea/tick medicine. However, it’s important to note that she can easily scale a 4-ft chain link fence, so secure fencing is essential.

While Baby has never been around children, she has a calm, loving temperament, and would likely do well with gentle children who understand and respect her boundaries. Her current foster family is open to allowing her new family the opportunity to foster her first to ensure she’s the right fit for their home.
